Dear Neighbour,
I am proud to submit my name as a candidate to represent you at the City of Mississauga and Region of Peel Councils. As a resident of Ward 5 for the past 15 years, I have had the opportunity to experience many of our shared visions for improving our Ward for the benefit of all residents. As the Executive Assistant in the Ward 5 office at City Hall (on an unpaid leave of absence to run for Councillor) I know first-hand the challenges we have and will face – and I look forward to the opportunity to face the decisions ahead together. I don’t need to waste valuable time learning the pressing issues - I have the hands on experience to immediately start work on the matters that affect you – my neighbour.
I am passionate about our Ward, our City and our Region and I am dedicated to working with you to make our community a better place to live, work and play.
I will be there to listen to your concerns. I will meet with you at City Hall, and if you prefer, I will gladly come to your home to see the issue that you need addressed. And if you prefer a more informal setting, I commit to being available at a central location at least once a month in Britannia and in Malton to talk over coffee.
I will work on your behalf to keep property taxes affordable, while maximizing services, and to help ensure that Mississauga remains one of the most desirable places to live in Ontario.
My commitment to you is to work on your behalf to make our City among the best in Canada. Together we can make Mississauga prosper!
Sincerely,
Dianne
